It's been a year like no other for the S.Co.P.E Committee. We've reached great heights and created changes that will leave a legacy for years to come. The cultural year at K.C College has been nothing but the most successful year till date, painting it with varying activities to make this canvas a bright one. To say the least. S.Co.P.E, the cultural committee broadened its horizons for the years to come.

Kicking off with a phenomenal orientation, our Principal Dr Hemlata Bagla welcomed the new students with a charismatic speech. Thereafter, the Committee started off the academic year with the auditions. The college was visited by The Facebook team from California who wanted to get a glimpse of what an Indian College life looks like. The students displayed their talents with foot thumping performances that were very well received by the team. The college was also visited by Times Fresh Face 2018 where the students participated in the show and displayed their talents to fill it with exuberance.

From fests to talent hunts to our annual cultural festival, we have done it all. To kick start the year, S.Co.P.E held various auditions to bring out the gems of KC College into the limelight. To open platforms for those with talent, which served as a massive success! The committee played great help! The S.Co.P.E. Committee won accolades for their amazing performances put up for the Alumni Meet, Economics Convention, Exploring Gandhi, Republic Day Celebration, Annual Day & Convocation 2018.

In terms of participation, we marked a large milestone by earning a podium finish at every festival we participated in this year! It was a year full of achievements for the committee where we made our mark by standing Second in Malhar(St Xavier's), First in Vaayu(NMIMS), Second in SHOUTT(Jai Hind College) and Third in Illenium (ISMI). Along with the major trophies, the department also won a lot of departmental trophies in the avenues of Literary Arts, Informals and Performing Arts. The best performance was we proving our mettle in Mood Indigo( MI), the signature cultural festival of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. In this great festival which is considered to be Asia's largest college cultural festival and often one of the biggest of its kind in the world we won... Mr.Mood Indigo (1st & 2nd position both), Miss Mood Indigo, Miss Personality in the Beauty Pageant & the Radio Jockey event.

The biggest and most heartfelt achievement of S.Co.P.E this year was organizing Kiran , which was a 7 day long celebration as the individual fests, namely Joule, Spectrum, Fiestron, Blitzkreig, Systematic Chaos and Kiran came together to form a grand celebration that saw a footfall of over ten thousand with fifty colleges taking part in it. The chants of 'Akha Bombay Goonjega’, the exclusive song composed for the occasion made KIRAN-2018 the grandest one our college has ever seen! Kiran proved to be an event of utter grandeur par any other collegiate experience this year. Being able to bring the transition from national festival to international, in a span of one year is the biggest achievement our committee could ask for, and it was all possible by the support of the college faculty and our respected Principal, Dr Hemlata Bagla!

The members of our Scope Committee won many awards for their invaluable contributions to the college. The includes Mr KC - Pritam Maji, Rotary Special Award - Prasheel Nair, Principal’s special award - Sahil Bhandari & Shelly Patel. Also, Nikhil Padekar, Prasheel Nair & Rajeshwari Sharma bagged the prestigious Event Manager of the Year award at National Institute of Event Management. Apart from this, our member Ashoi Dantra won the title of World Teen Supermodel India 2018.

As the cultural year comes to an end, the committee is filled with bittersweet memories knowing the year is almost over, yet we were able to pull it off with absolute grace. The year 2018 has been one of the major accomplishments of KC College. We have engaged in various ventures that have never been envisioned before and have soared to new heights with much grace and poise. With our heads held high with pride, we are soon going to bid adieu and pass the badge of honour to our juniors and see them take this committee to new and more glorious levels. To conclude, our way of life is “Sky is the limit” and our motto…Until Next time!
